Our first visit to the Grand Canyon will be one to remember. The three of us caught the sunset over the amphitheater, which Mark had fun capturing on his camera. The following day we ran down into the canyon, leaving us with sore legs for a few days. In addition to the vast landscape, we were quite surprised by the amount of wildlife that we saw in the Grand Canyon. During our run, we crossed paths with a ram and at our campsite we had a friendly elk visitor.

While sometimes I find National Parks overrun by people, Mark made the good point that National Parks make a concerted effort to make natural beauty accessible to all folks. Especially during such a difficult year, I am happy that so many people are getting outdoors to see the beautiful nooks and crannies of the US.
